About Us

USAID – Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity and Peace (USAID – SAFE) is a five-year development Program (2012 - 2017), whose objective is to strengthen the Government of Uganda’s (GoU) capacity with respect to peace building and conflict mitigation. The program intends to enhance the capacity of local actors, and strengthen mechanisms for resolving and mitigation conflicts related to land, address residual effects of the Lord’s resistance Army (LRA) conflict in northern Uganda, and transform emerging conflicts into peaceful outcomes.

This conflict map falls under the Peace and Reconciliation component of the SAFE project and aims to provide an overview of conflict incidents in Uganda, to support monthly SAFE Conflict Assessments<
